The Gallivant Wedding Photography...
It's funny as I sit here to write this blog post, I suddenly had an urge of inspiration. This is strange as normally when I come to write blog posts, it's the complete opposite. Sitting here thinking f**k, what am I going to write about. This I believe is mostly due to dyslexia and secondly because I always feel the photographs do the talking better than I do...
So instead of talking about the wedding, I wanted to talk a little bit about how I came to shooting Jane and Ben's wedding. A wedding in a way I felt I was destined to shoot.
It all comes back to a festival I shot. My first ever job as a professional photographer. Wayback when I somehow declared to the world I was a photographer and massively cock-footedly going on my mission.
The festival was Lubstock and it was one of the best weekends of my life. The start of James Fear the photographer and the start of my new path in my life. I have not looked back since that very moment. Not once, not even for a second. Lubstock at the time wasn't really a festival, it was a super posh do for family and friends. It was amazing. I met Mark Owen from Take That there, Phil from Location Location Location and Harry...
Harry owns the Gallivant, he's been a mate since and without that meeting I would not have been in the position to shoot Jane and Ben's wedding.
This is a lesson I learnt early on in the photography game, that every job is not just a job, but the next 20, 50 or 100. My mindset with every job is to give maximum value to each client. 100% of me every time, shoot like it's the very first wedding and make everyone count way beyond the money received.
As you can probably tell I absolutely loved Jane and Ben's wedding. Dyslexia has struck again so I'm going to stop here, but I do hope you like the photographs as much as I did taking them.
