Hyde Barn Wedding Photography...This is only the second time I have worked at Hyde Barn and I made a dreadful mistake of Googling what some photographers friends of mine had done there in the past. The likes of Ben Roberts, Rob Tarren and Robin Bradshaw had all absolutely nailed it. So I knew I had to pull some magic out of the bag...
Talking of magic, Rosie and Dale had hired my good friend and fellow charmer Mr Darren Campbell to keep the guests entertained and enthralled, but more of him in a bit.
My day started at The Bradley, a bespoke and beautiful little hotel in the centre of Cheltenham which somehow I'd never heard of. If like me the Bradley is not on your radar please check it out as it's beautiful, quirky and as my Nan would say not too dear!
As soon as I arrived I was welcomed by some other friends of mine: Chris Fordham mind blowing hairdresser (plus the man behind the Cotswold wedding blog) and Katy Pheiffer on make up.
Rosie and Dale's wedding really was such a joy to be at. When a wedding is as warm hearted and genuine as this photographs come easy. So instead of talking about my work, I thought I'd mention a few more of the fab suppliers Rosie and Dale had chosen... For me, they hand picked pretty much my best mates and it was fab.
As mentioned before we had Mr Darren Campbell doing the close up magic. His skills are immense, but for me it's his ability to work the crowd which I always find so incredible. Such a legend, if you're reading this and are wondering if to hire Darren just do!!!
On videographer duties you had Lee from Iconic Image. I have worked with Lee many times over the years and frankly the only videographer I have worked with who doesn't drive me mad! Lee is totally unobtrusive, professional and with only his clients interests at heart. A true professional.
Lastly on piano Mr Pete Butler. Pete and I worked so often together over the Christmas period it was becoming a joke - I think we worked four times together in one week. This is total testament to his skills and persona. Pete is probably best known in the Cheltenham scene for being the piano Man at Subtone and one of the most talented musicians out there.
As always I leave you with a few of my faves from Rosie and Dale's wedding and thank you for your interest in my work,
